Disney Princess

This weekend was a busy one! On Saturday morning, Kaydee drove to the leasing office to get the keys to our new home. She was a little upset about waking up so early, and she let us know...

She wasn't complaining when Daddy handed her the keys!

We then moved all of our things in, had a nice rest, and spent Sunday getting settled in. :) On Monday morning we woke up to go see Uncle Josh and his girlfriend Ashley at none other than... DISNEYLAND! So Kaydee and her Dad took a little cat nap while Mom got ready before we hit the road.

Then we got her dressed and ready to hit the road! Kaydee was excited from the moment her booty hit the car seat.

We finally made it! :) We rushed to the baby care center on main street, (the ladies there always fall in love with Kaydee) changed, ate, and hopped in the Bjorn before we went looking for Josh and Ashley.

After we found Uncle Josh and Ashley, we headed over to the Princess Fantasy Fair in hope of seeing Tiana. :) First, we ran into Ariel! Boy did she have pretty hair! She called Kaydee a cute little shellfish. :)

After Ariel, we headed on over and to our surprise Tiana had been waiting for us! What great luck!

After Tiana set us on our way, we ran into Mulan on our way out. She was SO much fun! :) Kaydee liked her so much she wanted to take Mulan with her, so she refused to let go of her hand. :) Then Mulan taught Josh and Ashley some moves to use if they ever ran into the Huns.

Then Mom had to go see her friend Minnie, who Kaydee had never met before. So she invited us over for tea.

After visiting Minnie, she let us know that Mickey was expecting us next door. So we all headed over to see The Big Cheese. He was at band practice, so we had to find him. Kaydee led the way! Here is our journey as narrated by Kaydence May.

"Daddy I don't think he's in the living room... lets go to his garden and ask Pluto."

"Well pluto was on a walk... lets keep going and see if we run into anyone that can help."

"Uhh, Mom? Dad? I found some freinds that are stuck, and they don't speak baby either."

"Mickey's floor was a little dirty, so I mopped up a bit.."

"You guys! We are almost there!"

And we made it. :) Mickey took a break from band practice, and gave us the honor of taking a picture with him. He's always such a gent. :)

After saying farewell to Mickey, it was time to head back to our new home. :) We gave Ashley a happy birthday wish, said bye to Uncle Wierd, (I mean Uncle Josh) and departed the Happiest Place on earth, to return to the Second Happiest Place on Earth. :) I must say, Kaydee left very content.

Until next time,

Chris, Chels and Kaydee. <3

Outing for Valentine's Weekend

This weekend, Chris, Kaydee, and I had a great chunk of family time we have much been needing! On Friday I got a night out with my girls, which was so great. I did miss Kaydee and Chris though, so coming home was a great surprise. :) On Saturday, We took a trip to see our new home, which we will be moving into next Saturday! Here is the new place, perfect for Kaydee, Mickey, and Chris and I...
Here is Chris' excited face...
After visiting "home", Kaydee went to Red Lobster. She was enjoying her time playing with her crinkle book and Safari, when she noticed Mommy's salad....
Before this disaster occurred, we decided to head home. Kaydee explored her diaper bag for a bit, looking for remnants of my salad, and then headed up for bathtime and bedtime.
On Sunday, we decided to take a small family outing. We went to the mall, (which Kaydee loves) to search for anything "Kaydee-like". We stopped by all the regular stores. At Crazy 8, Kaydee found a hat and some sunglasses....

But this just wasn't her style....
At Baby Gap, Daddy gave it one more attempt to make Kaydee a princess with a magical wand he saw....
But it just wasn't magical enough....
So went into the Disney Store, and came out with a decision!
Kaydee found Tiana and Oswald! Kaydee and Tiana spent the rest of the day together. Riding in the car, going into the grocery store, and of course, napping...
And napping, and napping....
(Which gave Chris and I two seconds for a party shot)
So after our outing, Kaydee played with Oswald, and Mommy and Daddy.

And then was pleasently surprised by a card from Great Grandma and Great Grandpa!!!\

And here is our little valentine. <3
Later that night, Kaydee played with Mickey's "welcome home" toy, while Mom and Dad watched. This day equaled one happy little girl, and one tired mommy and daddy...

This morning, Kaydee and I woke up to a wonderful happy valentine's day from Chris. :)
Kaydee held her little bear, as I read her Valentine's card to her. What a great way to start the day. :)
So cheers to a great weekend, a sweet little baby, and a Happy Valentine's day! :)

Happy Valentine's day to all family near and far, to all friends, and to all those who are no longer with us. <3>
Love,
The Vehon's

Mommy Made a Boo-Boo

This weekend, Kaydee got her Daddy all to herself. :) On Friday, we waited outside for Daddy to come home, until it got a little chilly and then we had to retire indoors to wait for him. While we were outside, we had a lot of fun watching the sun set and cuddling up in a blankie.

The rest of the weekend was tons of fun for Kaydee and Dad. When the sun was perfect and weather was warm, Daddy took Kaydee outside to play with her toys. They had so much fun together...she decided to wear her "As Cute as My Aunt" because well, she is. :)

Kaydee had her favorite Giraffe with her, she read a story to Daddy, and afterwards Daddy picked the most beautiful flower he could find for his little princess. She tried to be gentle, but ended up tearing it up.
Chris chatted with Kaydee for awhile about life. Kaydee was telling him how much she had been stressed, because her first tooth had just broken the surface yesterday, and it was a little sore. Chris said he could help by helping her fly!
After it got hot outside, we all came back inside. Mommy even got a suprise! DADDY CHANGED KAYDEE!
Kaydee was happy about this too...
Mommy wanted to have some time with Kaydee too, so we played on the floor, rolling over and taking pictures.

Then, the boo-boo happened... After all the hustle and bustle of the afternoon, Kaydence was ready for a nap. She started to fuss a little bit, and so I was about to give her a pacifier. Well, usually we clip this pacifier onto her bib, but as you can see she wasn't wearing one for the day (so Kacie could see her sport her onesie in the pictures) and so I decided to clip it onto a wrinkle on her shirt...well, once I did this, Kaydee's bottom lip folded over, and she silently started crying. (Saddest thing you'll ever see) I realized that not only had I clipped her pacifier onto her shirt, but accidentally clipped a bit of HER too. I FELT HORRIBLE. So Kaydence was crying, I was crying, and if I felt bad for anyone it was Chris. He was trying to cheer up Kaydence and trying to comfort me, I don't think anything is worse than your daughter and wife crying at the same time! :( Kaydee took it like a tough cookie, Chris did great with dealing with the chaos, and eventually I was able to forgive myself. Many sad moments later, Kaydee forgave me and fell asleep in my arms with just her diaper and blanket. (her favorite way to nap)
I still feel terrible. :(
It was a rough day for the little lady. Even after bath, her tooth wore her out, and my big Mommy mistake wore her out. Here is the look of a distressed baby...
Regardless, Kaydee got some great time with Daddy. <3
The weekend was a busy one, but a great one nonetheless. We are so lucky to have the most precious, adorable, sweet, (and forgiving) little girl in the world. How can you argue with that? :)
Till next time,
Chris, Chels, and Kaydee
