Mommy Made a Boo-Boo

This weekend, Kaydee got her Daddy all to herself. :) On Friday, we waited outside for Daddy to come home, until it got a little chilly and then we had to retire indoors to wait for him. While we were outside, we had a lot of fun watching the sun set and cuddling up in a blankie.

The rest of the weekend was tons of fun for Kaydee and Dad. When the sun was perfect and weather was warm, Daddy took Kaydee outside to play with her toys. They had so much fun together...she decided to wear her "As Cute as My Aunt" because well, she is. :)

Kaydee had her favorite Giraffe with her, she read a story to Daddy, and afterwards Daddy picked the most beautiful flower he could find for his little princess. She tried to be gentle, but ended up tearing it up.
Chris chatted with Kaydee for awhile about life. Kaydee was telling him how much she had been stressed, because her first tooth had just broken the surface yesterday, and it was a little sore. Chris said he could help by helping her fly!
After it got hot outside, we all came back inside. Mommy even got a suprise! DADDY CHANGED KAYDEE!
Kaydee was happy about this too...
Mommy wanted to have some time with Kaydee too, so we played on the floor, rolling over and taking pictures.

Then, the boo-boo happened... After all the hustle and bustle of the afternoon, Kaydence was ready for a nap. She started to fuss a little bit, and so I was about to give her a pacifier. Well, usually we clip this pacifier onto her bib, but as you can see she wasn't wearing one for the day (so Kacie could see her sport her onesie in the pictures) and so I decided to clip it onto a wrinkle on her shirt...well, once I did this, Kaydee's bottom lip folded over, and she silently started crying. (Saddest thing you'll ever see) I realized that not only had I clipped her pacifier onto her shirt, but accidentally clipped a bit of HER too. I FELT HORRIBLE. So Kaydence was crying, I was crying, and if I felt bad for anyone it was Chris. He was trying to cheer up Kaydence and trying to comfort me, I don't think anything is worse than your daughter and wife crying at the same time! :( Kaydee took it like a tough cookie, Chris did great with dealing with the chaos, and eventually I was able to forgive myself. Many sad moments later, Kaydee forgave me and fell asleep in my arms with just her diaper and blanket. (her favorite way to nap)
I still feel terrible. :(
It was a rough day for the little lady. Even after bath, her tooth wore her out, and my big Mommy mistake wore her out. Here is the look of a distressed baby...
Regardless, Kaydee got some great time with Daddy. <3
The weekend was a busy one, but a great one nonetheless. We are so lucky to have the most precious, adorable, sweet, (and forgiving) little girl in the world. How can you argue with that? :)
Till next time,
Chris, Chels, and Kaydee
